What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy?
Accelerated Resolution Therapy, often times referred to as ART, is a form of psychotherapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies, but shown to achieve benefits more rapidly (within 1 to 5 sessions). It has been shown to provide relief for clients experiencing trauma as well as depression, anxiety, addictions, phobias, job related stress, etc.
Throughout the process, the client is in complete control with the therapist to provide support and guide the session. Using relaxing eye movements and a technique called voluntary memory/image replacement, it helps the client change the way the negative memories are stored in the brain. It works to provide relief from the triggers or strong physical and emotional reactions. Through ART, the client does not have to share details of their trauma or life experiences to find relief.
